Leader of the PACK


These are 2 of the teams main leaders Waylon the black dog is Partly Blind but that does not seem to bother him as he is always ready to go and is the first to stand at the ready, when I come a calling,he is also the the boss of the Team as he takes no guff from anyone in the Kennel, nor do they test him ,a quick growel and they bow to him. but he is not agressive ,always gets along with the team, loves a good ear scratching .And always leads by example has great work ethlic waylon is one happy dog. He can turn on a dime when i got him, it only took about 3 weeks for him to learn the commands of Gee& Haw.If not for his disability he would be a super sled dog.He has finished every race he has entered,

Play ball


This is Tic Toc as you can see she loves to play ball ,but she does not like to share and will go to great lengths to to keep it to her self ,she is going on 4 yrs old is a hard worker loves to please and is very gentle, it is not hard to give her an extra hug or compliment, She knows their time is here and is very excited to start running,she is one of teams main Leaders.

Running in the Forest

Aaron and I went out today to find some trails to run on this fall,found a awesome Trail that is about 14 klm one way and where we stopped the he rail continued on ,it has a lot of folage on it so works great at not to sore up some pads ,make for great Running ,have to check out he opposite directon i think t runs toward the river if that is the cases then we should be able to put in a 50mile run one way ,Try and make it out again next weekend stay Tuned ..............

Summers over


Well sept is here the official start of mushing season,what most of us wait for all summer,well maybe not for everyone,but for distance runners the dogs need conditioning for the 60-70 mile night runs ,night being more favorable its a lot cooler for the team.Nows the time i'll start calling my mushing buddys to see how their summer went how many new dogs and so on.what races there going to and what not, so far i have 4 in mind they are Canadian challange , yukon quest 300,2 new races one in th YK and the other in B.C both 200 milers,I am giong across the smokey river looking for more fall training trail for those over nighters.stay tuned...............
